After four years in office as the secretary-general of the Actors’ Guild of Sierra Leone, Lloyd Zacky Sesay resigns from his position.

It was in 2018 when Lloyd joined other notable actors in Sierra Leone to ensure the facelift of actors in Sierra Leone. This was the most needed time as the career of movie acting was not seeing worthy in the eyes of so many Sierra Leoneans homes.

Lloyd is a multi-talented individual – a gospel singer-songwriter, screenwriter, actor. He is also the founder and chief executive officer of Lloyd Zacky Production, a registered entity with the cooperate affairs commission of Sierra Leone. He left all his business and threw his strength to support the growth of the film industry, and the Actors’ Guild specifically.
In the phone interview we had with him, these were his statements:

ImageSALONE:” Is there anything that led to your resignation?”

Lloyd: ”I have done my part. The position is a national thing, and it is good to give way for other people to take over. I resigned because there is too much on my desk as of now.”

ImageSALONE: ”What did you achieve in your role as the secretary-general of the of the Actors’ Guild Sierra Leone?”

Lloyd: ”In my time with the team, we secured land for the Actors’ Guild. We came together at a time acting was not regarded as a career in Sierra Leone. I, and the team put some modalities in place to formalise the institution. Now, one has to go through interviews and register to become a member of the Actors’ Guild.”
