A Selective Members of the Sierra Leone Producer’s  Guild Support a School Outreach Program

Selective members of the Sierra Leone Producer’s Guild organized a school art outreach at the UMC Primary School, Kissy Road, Freetown, to commemorate the Day of the African Child. The activity was fostered by a hand full of producers like Jnap Sesay, Rosaline Sesay aka Real Boss, Alimatu Farakhan Sesay, and the likes of Aminash Kabba, Adeyemi Ladner aka Iron Master, including Agnes Tarawallie, Sultan Keita and Emiley Manley who are part of the cross-section of the guild’s leadership.

The theme was: ‘’ITS OKAY TO DREAM ART’’, and the key objective of organizing the activity was to instil the interest in art into the kids, while they got amused and felt happy.

SCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAM

The filmmakers were able to use cultural dancers, poets, and motivational speakers to communicate the value of art in a message the kids could understand. The guild offered every pupil that took the first position in the academy year for their class a certificate and an envelope including food and drinks for the entire school.

The students were motivated and extremely elated at the filmmakers’ gesture. The head teacher thanked them for their selfless act and passion to have inspired the children through creative art.

In attendance were Daramy A. Kabba, the chairperson of the Sierra Leone Film Industry Labour and Marketing Guild and Abdulai Saidu Tonkoh Kamara alias Glamour Raider, president of Actors’ Guild Sierra Leone.
