Early Life

Abubakar Bah was born on April 19, 1975, in Baama Conta, Wandor Chiefdom, Kenema District to Fatmata J. Jalloh and Abdulai Bah. He attended the Sierra Leone Muslim Brotherhood Primary School, Calaba Town, and proceeded to the Independence Memorial Secondary School and continued to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School – Kissi DockYard. He read Business Administration at the College of Business Studies – Eastern Police, Freetown.  Abubakar Bah is married with three kids, all girls.

Career

Abubakar Bah is an actor, professional comedian, screenwriter, and director. He found his skill as a comedian during his theatre days while he was a stage manager. He started his career in 1986 as a theatre performer. He did his first debut theatre performance on a play title ‘Voice of the Oracle’, in 1988 which was staged at the Wellington Community Centre. He continued acting on plays like, ‘KUNA For’, which was directed by Yusuf Nanah Charm; ‘Mad Lover’, ‘For Love Sake’, etc.

He founded his film production, Eagle Movie Production in 1992 and went ahead to undertake a film project in 1994 as a screenwriter, director and one of the actors in a movie titled ‘Blood for Power’. He played the role of the chief priest.

He has taken part in several local film projects and international projects in various roles. Because of his fluent comic voice acts, he has been featured in many TV sensitization series and commercials.

He written approximately 10 screenplays, directed about 17 and acted upon approximately 87 movies.
