Aminata Dorothy Turay – Sierra Leone Actor, caterer and school teacher

Aminata Dorothy Turay was born in Yeleh Township on the 27th of July 1987 to Augustine Alfred Turay and Margaret Isatu Turay. She attended the St. Michael’s Primary School Yele and proceeded to the St Joseph’s Secondary School for Girls in the Municipality of Makeni. The screen diva holds a higher teacher’s certificate from the E.B.K. University in Makeni City. She is a single mother of two kids, and she gave birth to the last one after divorcing her husband for a reason unknown to the public.

Aminata Doroty Turay is an actor, a caterer and a schoolteacher. She is considered as one of the faces of the northern province because of her impressive performances have over the years. She is a founding member of the Summit Empire and the Faces of the North Entertainment Award of Sierra Leone. In the recent past years, she served as the Vice- Chairperson for the Northern Movie Makers Alliance, and currently the Vice-Chairperson for the Actor’s Guild North Chapter.  She as well holds a membership card for Actors Sierra Leone; an enterprise that works for the common good of Sierra Leone Film Industry. She teaches presently at the Sierra Leone International Academy, a private school in the Municipality of Makeni. She is also caterer.
