Daramy Alimamy Kabba was born on the 12th of September 1987. He currently holds a master’s degree in public administration and Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) USL. Bachelor of Arts General (Division 1) in History and Sociology and Diploma in Cultural Studies from Fourah Bay College (FBC) University of Sierra Leone. Certificate in Creative and Performing Arts from Inner Court College of Arts.
Career
Daramy Kabba is an actor, and Chairperson of the Sierra Leone Film Industry, Labour and Marketing Guild (SLFILM GUILD). He is an ardent Sierra Leonean Film Producer and Actor full of passion for education and desire to support youth empowerment, leadership and entrepreneurship development.
Daramy Kabba’s acting career spans 15 years, and he has worked in documentary, short and mainstream movies. His first acting part in a film career was in a movie, Genesis as an extra, minor roles in movies like Forbidden Child, Blackout and Betrayal, with other major roles in films like Twins Apart, The Break-Up and Save Our Love.
Daramy has work as a producer at SUNRISE PUCTURES for movies like Forbidden Child (2015) and Stranger (2018) both were moderately successful. Daramy has also been involved in the administration of Sierra Leone Film Industry for 11 years. In 2010 he became the Whip for the Actors Guild Sierra Leone and in 2012 he was appointed the Public Relations Officer 1 (PRO) of the Guild. He has also had significant roles in the Sierra Leone Film Industry especially in Film Administration. In 2018, he was appointed Chairman of the Sierra Leone Film Industry, Labour and Marketing Guild (SLFILM Guild). Where he has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Industry.
