according to Emma Dyfan, she was supposed to play the lead role. That was what she was told by John Afan weeks ago, and she was amongst the first people that were handed their script. Knowing full well the weight of the project, she had started reading long ago; only to show up at the rehearsal and be told that she would not be playing the major role but another.
”I have no problem with the decision but the manner in which it was communicated to me was wrong.” Emma opined.
According to the producers, it was a mistake from one of their own, John Afan. They have accepted their fault and had before this time apologized to Emma. They said that the current director had to choose the best person amongst the three that he felt was suitable for the character that is needed for the role.

They said that when the current director, Frank Raja Araze was contacted after no agreement was concluded with the first Nigeria based director, Frank instructed them to do shadow casting. Frank said they should cast three people for each of the major roles, in order to have options in case the other is not available. This was also the idea of the previous director.
According to Daramy A. Kabba, unfortunately, Emma Dyfan was the first option for the said role and the major mistake that happened was done by John Afan. He went ahead distributing scripts and told casts the roles they would play without the knowledge of the director and fellow co-producers. It turned out that Emma would be the third option to play the said role based on her physical features.
”Definitely, Emma is one of the most eloquent, smart and brilliant female actors, but the director has to choose who he thinks is best to play what and not,’‘ Daramy said.
Daramy concluded his statement with an apology and hopes that Emma would calm down and see what the feature holds.
