Hide, is one of the recent Sierra Leonean movies making waves across the region. The story is set in Freetown and overseas. Hide tells the tale of a young Sierra Leonean who travels overseas for greener pasture only to end up in a place where she has to suffer. Her family home thinks she is overseas making money whereas she is back home hiding away from friends and acquaintances because of shame. It has been screened in many countries across the globe by the IOM (International Migration Organization).

“Hide” tells the story of a young woman, who after stealing money from her mother to pay an “agent” who promised her a job in Italy, finds herself slaved in Oman. She returns home being diagnosed HIV positive as she now faces rejection from her mother and community.
