My Critique of the Movie Where Lies the Truth

‘’WHERE LIES THE TRUTH’’ is an all-Sierra Leonean African movie based on a true-life story. It’s a story which tells the tale of a family line evolving around love, marriage, parenthood, and friendship.

I watched this movie and saw an unimaginable perfection from all that I have been used to seeing as a Sierra Leonean moviemaker.

Everything is just in place. The storyline, storytelling style, characterization, directing tricks, actors’ performances, picture quality and sound are so much great. To delve deep into the sound, the rhythmic sound, the kicks and the beats just match up to the various unfolding surprises, suspense, and conflicts intertwined within the storytelling style.

The storytelling tricks used by the director are so much in place that the more you watch it, the more you want to get to know as an audience. It is hard to tell what is coming next and you sit there waiting to see what happens next that will make you understand the story. Even though the movie is based on a true-life story, you can feel the reality within you as if the character were your own close person because she drags you along with what she goes through, and you see it as if you were reading a novel.

To be fair enough, ‘’Where Lies the Truth’’ is one of the finest African Sierra Leonean movies that truly depicts how we can best tell our own stories. When you watch this movie, you’ll relate to it through the realities the character goes through.

I am a filmmaker and film blogger. I have seen a very good storytelling style and this is one of the best I am proud to recommend it to anybody anywhere to go for and watch it.
