Pre-Review of the Movie Sankoh’s DiamondSankoh's Diamond official poster.

Sankoh’s Diamond is an African movie done in Sierra Leone by one of the most resilient and consistent young talented popular movie producers and directors by the name of Mohamed Sow who is commonly known by the nickname 001.  With the effect of the eleven years of civil war that ravaged so many lives across the very little diamond ferrous West African nation, Sierra Leone, which can be found at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, this is the second time Mohamed has been able to draw inspiration to depict what the ordinary Sierra Leonean went through during that period.

Prior to this, Mohamed was able to produce and direct a movie titled ‘’Daru Bridge’’, a war drama which he used to tell the tale of a very famous rebel that was known as Rambo, nicknamed from the Rambo movies that were done by Sylvester Stallion.

During the war, a lot of diamonds were smuggled to India, and the West through Liberia by the then infamous rebel leader Foday Sankoh and his echelons through various means. Sankoh’s Diamond is a movie that depicts the very unthinkable major reasons that led Sierra Leoneans to open fire on each other.

STORYLINE

Foday Sankoh buried two mayonnaise bottles filled with blood diamonds, which were worth billions of dollars and should have transformed Sierra Leone. But because of his selfishness and greed, he decided not to tell anyone where those precious gems were buried.
