Trainees in Bo

A lot of filmmakers that attended were very jubilant when they got certified after the training process. Most of the facilitators had been previously trained by the same organizers. A strategy used by the funders and organizers to grow talents within the local context and enhance sustainability. Raasie’s role as a facilitator was meant to preach how the media could be used by filmmakers to foster peace in Sierra Leone through their craft. After the whole process, she appreciated the organizers for the opportunity given to her.

Rashie Bah in her own writing said, ‘’It was exciting working with the participants. You can only EMPOWER OTHERS when you are EMPOWERED. I am honoured to be one of the facilitators in Bo and Makeni for this year’s MEDIA FOR PEACE AND FILM PROJECT  “Looking Closer”. THIS IS TIMELY AS IT WILL HELP TO FOSTER PEACE IN OUR UPCOMING ELECTIONS. MEDIA FOR PEACE IS A GERMAN-BASED CONCEPT FROM AN EXCHANGE PERSPECTIVE. WE ARE GRATEFUL TO SLADEA AND WELTFILME.org FOR REACHING OUT. TO EMPOWER YOUNG PEOPLE,  Rassie D Iron Lady.”
