Rose Hawa Marrah

Rose Hawa Marrah is an actor, entrepreneur, home management teacher and the winner of the first edition of the Salone Culture Alive Reality TV Show that was hosted in Makeni.

Salone Culture Alive is a reality television show where contestants represent and showcase the culture, customs, and traditions of their local tribe. Rose represented the Limba Tribe. She hailed from Kabala, a very popular district headquarters in the northern province of Sierra Leone.

Rose Hawa Marrah was born to Kadday Marrah and Mohamed Baba Marrah in Kabala Town and was raised up in Freetown. She attended several primary schools. Bathurst St Primary School from classes one to two, Sister Marian Primary School in Freetown – classes three, KGDEC Islamic Bankolia Primary School – Kabala, and Moa Barracks Primary School – Daru Town – Kailahun. She proceeded to the Model Junior Secondary School – in Freetown.

She went ahead and attended the Kabala Secondary School where she sat both the Basic Education Certificate Examination and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, but did not get her requirement after the first sitting. She relocated to Makeni, the headquarters of the northern province of Sierra Leone and enrolled in a management college and a vocational institute at the same time where she read human resources management and home management, respectively. She grew interested and later developed more interest in the home management course and had to put on hold the human resources course to pursue the latter. With more dedication, Rose became an A-Graduate in home management from SLOIC.

She became inspired to get into entertainment by her cousin’s brother who was a musician and used to rehearse in her presence. She later got more interest in acting through movies of Genevie Nanji, the famous Nollywood Actor.

Rose has been into entertainment but never has she gone this far to perform on a wider platform. She began to act in sensitization drama while in junior secondary school. She joined a drama group thereafter and went on to act in comedy skits which they used to shoot with phones.

She made her debut appearance in the movie title Mr Robert in 2015, a comedy movie which was produced by Young Talented – the first movie production she joined. Rose has acted in several movies but can boost three which can be accessed by the public.

In her thank you message as the winner of the Salone Culture Alive Reality TV Show, she thanked the organizers of the show, her fans and the Almighty God for the platform, motivation, voting and talent respectively.

Rose Hawa Marrah is a very resilient young woman those dreams to push harder. Apart from entertainment, she is currently a home management tutor at the Real Women Vocational Institute in Makeni and she is one of the smartest sorts of actors in Makeni and the northern province.

  1. Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
