Early Life
Salamatu Kamara was born on the 8th of October in Freetown, Sierra Leone to Salimatu Bah Kamara and Hassan Kamara. She attended the Saint Joseph Convent Primary and Secondary Schools in Kenema respectively. She proceeded to the Eastern Polytechnic School of Nursing and got a diploma in nursing. She is a single mother with a female child – Fatmata Chematu Bah.
Career
Salamatu Kamara is a movie and radio drama actor, movie producer, an entrepreneur and a hair stylish. She started her acting since 2007 with very flat roles before she was offered lead roles in movies and radio drama. She has done more than 20 movies of which some were sold out to the public while some are still in the editing studios.
Besides filming am also a hair stylist with her own saloon. She owns the Salish Beauty LA Looks Saloon. She has served as a beauty artist for several actors across Freetown. She also recently opened a catering restaurant – Salish Taste where she caters for workshops and unconventional programmes.
