Early Life

Santigie Osman Sesay was born on the 28th of June 1984. He was born to Osman Sesay and Saffie Conteh N’Sesay in PortLoko Township. He attended the Practicing Primary School PortLoko where he sat to his National Primary School Examination. He proceeded to the King Fohad Islamic Secondary School Wellington at Junior Secondary School Level and later continued to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary school Kissy Dock Yard Freetown. He furthered to the PortLoko Teachers’ College and got a Teachers’ Certificate and Higher Teachers’ Certificate respectively. He later went to the Institute of Advanced Management and Technology and got BSE in Development Economics and finally got his master’s degree in Sustainable Development at the University of Makeni (UNIMAK). He is a married man with two daughters and a son.

Career

Santigie Osman Sesay is an award-winning movie director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He is also a social worker and lecturer. He started as a dramatist at the age of ten and got to the level of stage manager, writer, and director. he went ahead to become the director for the drama group in college from 2005 to 2007 while he was studying at the PortLoko Teachers’ College. He ended up winning a lot of awards both as an actor and as well as a director. Santigie OOsmanSesay has worked with several international and local nongovernmental organizations in Sierra Leone. He served as a lecturer at the Institute of Advanced Management and Technology for three years. He became a filmmaker in the year 2008 with Faith Production as the assistant director, national marketer, and actor. He won the best utility actor while he was there. In 2012, he founded his movie production, Zenith Production Limited. He has done five movies as a producer, director, and screenwriter with his production. In 2018, he won the Best Director of the Northern Province. He served as the Organising Sectary NORMMAL and resigned after two years. He has served as the Financial Sectary for the Directors’ Guild, Northern Movie Makers’ Alliance for about six years. He is a founding member of the Federation of Sollywood Film Guilds Sierra Leone, and currently the National Financial Secretary.
