The management of FaNEA deemed it fitted to make one of the outstanding icons of the Sierra Leone movie industry, Ambassador Kadijah Koroma the brand face of the award for 2021.
Ambassador Kadijah Koroma (Dijah Kay) studied Marketing and Business Administration. She started acting while in primary school and decided to pursue acting as a career in 2005 and was fortunate to gain lots of theoretical and practical experience in acting for film. In 2008, she played the lead role in the movie ‘Tears on my Pillow’ and continued in 2012 in another movie titled ‘Wait a Little longer’, as the lead actor. In 2015 she completed an acting course from one of the prestigious film schools in the UK – (METFILM School).
‘I was always the favorite when it came to staging plays and skits in school. Having caught up with acting at a tender age, it did not come as too surprising that I am now a household name in the budding Sierra Leone film industry. The joy i gets being in front of the camera is blissful’, she said.
Now, Ambassador Kadijah Koroma (Dijah Kay) is a movie and Pageant producer under her own entity, Dijah Kay Production. She has not only acted on site in Sierra Leone but, Liberia, Nigeria and UK. She has been starred in movies as followed: State Crime 2, Wilkinson Road (TV series), Refugee, Stupid Jealous Man 2; Deep in the Game (Reloaded); Deep in the Game (Revolution); Breaking Free, Cat & Mouse, Lek Lek, Deadly Twins and Elephant in the Room (Ramsey Films), Sister for Sale, Intertwine (Tv series), Refuge (Nigeria for DSTV), King Scepter (Nigeria for IROKO TV / DSTV ), etc.
Ambassador Kadijah Koroma (Dijah Kay) was nominated Best Actress of the year 2017 and Best Supporting Actress (in a film, Elephant in the Room) In the National Entertainment Awards. She won actress of the year award in 2018; under the Sister’s Choice Award.
