The National Films Awards Opens a Film MasterClass

The National Films Awards opens an opportunity for filmmakers to learn the craft in three days masterclass. This will be taking place on the 15th, 16th and the 17th of December 2021. Below is their press release:

“PRESS RELEASE!” 
The National Film Awards wishes to inform the Sierra Leone Film Industry that there will be a masterclass for all filmmakers and film professionals.

As we continue to be committed to showcasing Sierra Leone cinema to the globe, we are also committed to empowering filmmakers through capacity building.. therefore, we bring you Filmmaking Masterclass this December season with the theme:

Filmmaking as an Economic Tool.
The masterclass will be supported by the Sierra Leone Film Industry Labour and Marketing Guild (SLFILM GUILD) as a means of capacitating filmmakers and film professionals by highlighting and educating filmmakers on the issues identified by this year’s Jurors during the selection process.  All individuals who submitted films and who are part of films submitted are encouraged to apply and attend the masterclasses which are available for free. This is in aid of developing and growing the Film Industry so that more and more people can tell their stories through film.
