Tonkolili District to host the first-ever Tonkolili Achievement Awards (TAA) in Magburaka Town, on the 23rd of December 2022. The theme this year is “Excellent work pays.
It is an annual award geared toward honouring Tonkolili heritage and it recognizes living Tonkolili Legends whose attainments in their chosen and diverse works of life have truly been remarkable, and inspirational legacy to others, and with extraordinary contributions across the various communities in Tonkolili as a whole.
The award shall serve as a recognition for records of achievements and contributions made by individuals in various spheres of work and service they have been given the opportunity to contribute to society as their work.
Distinguished recipients of the Tonkolili Achievement Awards (TAA) shall encompass business, safety services, justice and government, the Church, manufacturing and the building trades, social services, philanthropy, entertainment, and education.
Honorary Awards are Special Merit Awards based on votes from the Tonkolili stakeholders both home and abroad for individuals who have made significant contributions to the Tonkolili community (Humanitarians, philanthropists, community leaders etc).
