
Early Life
Wurie Bah was born, raised, and schooled in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone. He graduated from Fourah Bay College, the University of Sierra Leone; with a Second Class First Division in Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Mass Communication, a Diploma in the same discipline; and a Diploma in Television and Film Production from the Paramount Film Academy in Liberia. He is a happily married man.
Career
Wurie Bah is a certified Screenwriter, Director, and movie producer with several local and international films to his credit. He is one of the filmmakers that has lived and worked in every region and almost every district in Sierra Leone. His ambition for a career in filmmaking started in 2008, after a short course on Film Production, Film Categories, and Film Administration. He established the Mercy Movies Production Limited in Freetown, made movies, provided assistant to filmmakers, and mentored and coached young talented filmmakers to become better filmmakers.
